You can see an overview of the course of the degree programme and detailed information in the module catalogue. It lists courses (content and scope) and their interrelationships in the degree programme. The module descriptions should do the following:

• Comprehensively describe the objectives, content, and interrelationships in the degree programme at the module and lecture level
• Provide students with useful, binding information for planning their studies
• Provide lecturers and other interested people with thorough insight into the design of the modules in the degree programme

Specifically for prospective and new students, the module catalogue - along with the curriculum - is a good basis to gain familiarity with the structure of the degree programme and the subjects.

An average workload of not less than 40 hours a week can be assumed, with preparation and processing of lectures and tutorials and solving practical exercises. It is particularly important to prepare for and go over lecture content, unlike in secondary school.

For this reason, we have prepared an example schedule for a first-semester student in the 2006/07 class, with times entered for lecture preparation and study.
